New pennants (new old pennants anyway) are being added nearly daily. We are now over 1,400 pennants on Felt Football and see that nice round number of 2,000 coming into focus on the horizon. If you have any pennants that aren’t represented on this site, we would love to add them. Please hit the “Contact Us” button at the bottom of the home page and lets talk. And of course…We are ALWAYS BUYING. Cold hard cash paid for your very cool pennants. Just reach out. Football season is here. Let’s do this!Read More →

Well, now that the basketball and hockey seasons are completed, we know what time it is. Football time! Yes, the next month (the ever shrinking doldrums of summer) will be bleak, with teams taking their last break before training camp and the long season ahead. However, this time serves to build anticipation, much like a child’s countdown to Christmas morning. We’ll have non-stop football in just a few short weeks. In the mean time, I thought I’d clear up a few pennant myths: Football pennants with 1967 printed on them are from 1967 = MYTH! That trademark logo was used into the 1970s. A pennantRead More →

It’s about time!  It was a long off season but we finally made it here.  I haven’t been this excited about a football season since the early 2000’s when the Rams were still The Greatest Show on Turf.  I think we have a chance to become that once again, but we’ll se how it goes.  It’s a long season.   Let’s stay healthy and to quote Dick Vermeil…”Play good football!!!” As far as tonight’s game goes…I think the Falcons are going to get a measure of revenge.  I expect the Eagles to take a little step backwards, at last early on.  Nick Foles is aboutRead More →

Alright…Let’s get this party started. It’s been a few months now since my last post. Time spent…spare time spent actually…turning this site into the largest football pennant gallery on the internet. My thanks to friends Jesse and Peter, both of whom were nice enough to contribute pictures to the site. There’s still a lot of growing to be done. I know there are many more pennants to find and add. The search continues and if anyone out there has a pennant(s) that they don’t see here, I’d love to add a picture. So please reach out. One change I’m thinking of making as adding anRead More →

There will be no duplicate pennants on this site.  If you see two similar pennants, rest assured there is something different about them.  This Giants pennant for example.   Looks just like the one right above it on the Giants page, however this one has “New York” outlined in red.  The other doesn’t.  Also, this ball carrier is wearing #14.  The other’s ball carrier is #74.  At some point I’ll add captions which detail the differences.Read More →

Good question.  It’s definitely not a price guide.  I may refer to a recent sale price of a pennant or mention what I feel a fair price or value is for a pennant.  I’ve definitely got opinions on that.   But they’re just opinions.  Many of these things come along so infrequently, it’s impossible to assign a price with any degree of accuracy.  For the more common ones, it’s a little easier.  Even still, I’ve seen huge variations from one sale to the next. I want this to be more of an encyclopedia of football pennants known to exist.  I’ll be adding more pictures eachRead More →

Hello Football World… If you’ve actually bothered to click a link on this budding website, you might be a football pennant fan or at least a football fan…hopefully both.   I’ve been collecting football pennants for over 20 years, first pretty casually (I think my pennant collection consisted of approximately two pennants for the first ten years) but over the past decade or so I’ve become pretty serious about it. I love the history of football…NFL and College…and I think pennants are a great way to own a piece of that history.  I love the logos, the artwork, colors, the feel, the smell (Hell yeah…IRead More →
